A Ferrari is theatre first: the response, the noise, the sense that the car is straining at something. The turbocharged cars carry real headroom above their factory maps and give it up willingly. The naturally aspirated V8s and V12s have very little, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a number — so with those we chase the theatre instead. Sharper throttle, a harder top end, and an overrun that cracks and throws flame on every downshift.
